End Table Homemade Chalk Paint Makeover...Meet Tiffany

Hey there...TGIF, right? Any big plans this weekend? My hubby has been working in Florida for the last couple of weeks so we are looking forward to him coming home Saturday. I'm also taking several of my furniture pieces to an antique store located in a cute little old fashioned gas station. They call it The Station @ Smithton. It's one of those one weekend a month sales. This little blue gal is going to be there.

I've been on a blue kick lately (maybe you've noticed)...I really need to expand my horizons!

This little gal sat in my garage for a while waiting on inspiration to strike me.  Sometimes I know before I get a furniture piece home what I'm going to do with it but some take a lot of thinking and searching the internet for an idea.

I finally decided to add some stripes to it. I painted the whole table with homemade chalk paint. Then I used blue painter's tape to tape off the stripes and painted in between the tape with white chalk paint. It was super easy and I think it turned out so cute! I very lightly distressed this piece. I like to distress all my furniture a little because, let's face it, if there are kids or clutsy husbands are involved, there WILL BE scratches and scrapes so why not make it look like they are supposed to be there, are ya with me? I picked up the knobs at Hobby Lobby for less than $4...did you know their knobs and pulls are 50% off every day? They have a great selection from simple to really unique and a good range of prices.

So do you have any projects planned for the weekend? Hope you have a great one!

I'm partyin' here...
